The 130-year-old weatherboard cottage had originally been marked for demolition. It stood on a block the couple had purchased for use as car parking for Dr Young’s sports medicine clinic in Albany, Western Australia.
Today, the restored home has been dedicated to providing long-term, wraparound care and support for women experiencing displacement, domestic violence, or hardship. All donations go directly toward the management of the house and the services and support it provides.
